SGJ #8: Ninja Rush
A downloadable game for Windows
Created for The Sunday Game Jam #8
Approaching the end of the LÖVE month, I made Ninja Rush, a game where your objective is to reach and defeat the boss as quickly as possible.
I wanted to make something a little more roguelike, but 24 hours isn't enough time for something this ambitious (especially because I'm the one making the "art" as well as programming). So instead I decided to try making a "Boss Rush" game. :P
You play as a flute-playing ninja, and you use your flute to attack your enemies (I've been playing Mini Ninjas lately :P). You can also dash to avoid (or reach) enemies.
The game has just a few important controls:
- WASD or arrow keys: Moves the ninja;
- Space: Attacks;
- Left shift: Dash.

Hit me up if you have any troubles executing the game :)
The Sunday Game Jam is a show where I make a game every weekend, from saturday to sunday, in 24 hours. I'm making these as my own spin on the 100 days of code, and I'll be using various engines and tools to make the games, and art/animations/music when required. The focus here is to learn and test ideas, and to have fun! :)
As a programmer, my general focus is on mechanics, not art nor music, but there will be games where I'll challenge myself to make better-looking drawings and music.
